Exhibition 2009

The dates of the next Denmead Art Exhibition will be 26th and 27th September 2009.
The opening times are:
Saturday 9am-6pm; Sunday 10.30am-4.30pm
refreshments will be available.

Entry forms will be sent out in June 2009 to all on our list, and the deadline for entries will be 5th September 2009.

What it's all about...

This exhibition has been running every year since 1974. Its aims are, and have always been, to promote the work of local artists, and to raise funds for the Church and other charitable concerns.

This year proceeds will be shared between the Church organ fund, DABS and Pastimes.

DABS (Denmead Activities and Bible School) has been running every summer for almost 30 years. It is a children's holiday club providing four days of fun, friendship and faith for over 200 children of the village. Stories, craft, sports, music and games, all led by a multitude of helpers, give the children a fun-filled week for a minimal cost.

PASTIMES is a 'Holiday at Home' for those senior members of our community who may not be able to enjoy a holiday away from home, and takes place for two days in mid/late August. Pastimes offers fellowship whilst enjoying speakers talking on a wide range of subjects, demonstrations of crafts as well as a tasty lunch and refreshments throughout the day. There is also a short service to finish the day.

The Church Organ, as well as being used for many of the Church services also plays a very important part in some of the 'Season of Music' concerts which are held throughout the year. Visit the Church website for more details: www.allsaintsdenmead.hampshire.org.uk
